Deputy Head of Risk Manager – CDI, full-time (m/f/d)
In this role:
The Deputy Head of Risk Management will primarily cope with risk related tasks in relation to our UCITS and AIFMD fund business. The main responsibility will be to ensure that effective risk management policies and procedures are in place, in line with regulatory and internal guidelines, in order to identify, monitor and report on an ongoing basis all risks related to our funds.
Duties and responsibilities:
Support the Head of Risk and Conducting Officer responsible for Risk Management
Help define the Risk Framework for any investment management activity or investment-related activity run by Amundi Luxembourg or delegated under its responsibility, in accordance with the general framework set by the Amundi Group Risk Committee
Support decisions on any adjustment (due to local constraints, regulations or management orientation) to rules or methodologies established at Group level and deciding on any additional risk monitoring rule applicable to Amundi Luxembourg (subject to consistency with the Group’s policy and rules)
Develop, implement and maintain efficient control instruments in relation to the overall Risk Management Process and Policies in place
Coordinate and ensure correct execution of the daily business and oversee the risk monitoring and reporting of the department.
Validate systems, applications and methodologies used for risk measurement, and periodically assess their adequacy with respect to relevant changes in the Amundi business, regulatory and industry environment
Liaise with Senior Management, Board of Directors, relevant Committees, internal and external Auditors, Regulator, Amundi business functions and Custodians for any Risk Management related matter
Ensure accurate documentation of processes and adequate reporting of all Risk Management related topics to Senior Management, Board of Directors, relevant Committees, internal and external Auditors, Regulator, Amundi business functions and Custodians
Manage, motivate, supervise and develop the team members

Experience
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the banking/financial sector
Very good knowledge of the Luxembourg fund industry as well as the local UCITS & AIFMD regulation
Good knowledge of professional risk management systems and best market practice regarding standard risk measures & models
Required skills
- Excellent communication, people management, problem solving and analytical skills
- Capable to implement and execute effectively short, medium and long-term plans
- Ability to work under pressure and to cope with multiple deadlines in an efficient and structured way, prioritizing activities while coordinating a well-established team of young but experienced individuals
- Practical problem-solving and decision-making attitude
- Strongly motivated and intellectually curious
- Good business understanding and strategic vision
Technical skills required
Fluent in English, with any other major European language being an advantage
